I think the closest dog park is in benicia. I still have not been because I am a bad dog owner.

There was a collection cup for a Vallejo dog park at one of the local vets but the web site listed was defunct. I guess someone's attempt to start a dog park here fizzled out. If you hear of one forming I'd like to help out. Somebody told me about an unofficial off-leash area near some school but I haven't figured out where it is. I take my dogs for long, off-leash walks at the Albany bulb or Alston park in Napa - which are absolutely wonderful. I don't like the smaller Phoenix dog park in Benicia as much, but it is the closest one. It would be a fine place to take a puppy to meet other dogs
