we're (zegri peeps) familiar with jon sylvane - downtown vJo prop owner --who's community minded - would like to see positive changes downtown
so we've talked with him a bit about that -
on a random tangent we also saw him helping out with the folks who are using storefront space as a moveable art gallery which is totally cool. anyhow, it came up that perhaps we could put together a vJo music night and use that bank building as a venue.
there's a lot of vJo based bands - there's us (5 cent coffee) and we know ragwater revue and plus there's plasterkatz, naughty minstrels, and other fair groups, plus the folks from listen and be heard would be down...
the thing is someone stepping forward to organize it...
plus it could include a visual art display or other performance art...
thoughts?

Re: idea for a collective show in the bank building on georgia
Mon, February 18, 2008 - 10:43 PMWell, I have some paintings if you have a visual arts display. And I know the lady who runs the Vallejo Performing Arts Center, maybe they'd want to get involved somehow. Also, several local rappers, if the venue would support that genre of music.
